Living Upright – Daniel 1

This year has felt like the world was turned upside-down.  Everything you thought you could count on was likely in question – paycheck, church, school, sports, etc.  The rhythms of our lives were severely disrupted by a pandemic, social unrest, and a looming election in what is probably one of the most contentious seasons of politics in a long time.  How can we live upright in a world that seems completely upside-down?

I believe that God is not only calling us to live through these days but to thrive during times like this.  As Christ-followers, we are fully equipped to live upright and to shine like stars in a culture that seems to have lost its way.  We are starting a new series called Standing Upright in an Upside-down World.   Using Daniel as our model, we are going to see how God uniquely placed Daniel in a time when he must have felt like the world was upside-down.  In this series, we will be in awe of the specific prophecies that came true and the relevance of these ancient truths.  We will see examples of how to relate to our godless culture.  We will also see some prophecy about the end times.  This is an exciting book for what is an exciting time in history.
