Having challenged the church to transform their town and world with the gospel, Paul usually ends his letters with personal greetings. This is the part you may be tempted to skip over. In addition to showing appreciation for others, it proves that Paul views ministry as a “team sport!” A “team” including dear, deep, devoted, friends! This passage challenges you to seek out, pray for, and commit to friends who join with you for the sake of the gospel!
