Who is the Holy Spirit?

Throughout Jesus’ ministry He promises that He would send the Holy Spirit, but what does that mean? Who is the Holy Spirit? What role does the Holy Spirit play in the early church? The Holy Spirit has a prominent place in the new church in the book of Acts. This is still true today
