This week is a big week. We take time to give thanks and reflect on the goodness and kindness of God and then we abruptly tend to shift gears towards thinking about Christmas. Amidst the holiday chaos, one of the most simple beauties of the season is the Christmas lights. Whether it is a dimly lit nativity set, a fully wrapped tree, or homes and buildings lined with lights, we can’t help but be mesmerized and captured by the beauty of the light. As we prepare our hearts and minds for Christmas, our December sermon series, The Light, will focus on Jesus’ statement, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
