Last week we started a series called The Church Unique. Every church is similar but each church is unique and different. As we study the church, we acknowledge the focus of the church is on Jesus Christ ALONE! As talked about in 1 Corinthians 3, the church is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. We must be expert builders to build a church on that foundation that will withstand the fire of refinement. This week we are talking about the structure of the church. How is the church supposed to function? Who are the leaders of the church? What do the leaders of the church do? It is important to understand the governance of the church if we are to be a church that is effective in accomplishing the mission of “going and making disciples.”
