The Church of Ephesus
October 10, 2021
You have forsaken your first love. This is a scathing comment leveled at the church of Ephesus. John is saying that they had lost the love they once had for Jesus. This would have felt like a knife through the heart and also reveals truth about us. Love can grow stale and complacent. Love can be neglected and taken for granted. Love must be nurtured to grow.
This Sunday we will be challenged to return to our first love in Jesus Christ to recommit ourselves back to love Jesus with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we continue in the series 7 Churches and studying the book of Revelation.
